Best Time to Visit Uganda for Wildlife Safari:

The best time to visit Uganda is during the dry season, which occurs from June to September and December to February. During these months, the roads are easier to navigate, and wildlife is easier to spot as animals gather around waterholes. For gorilla trekking, the dry months are ideal as the trails are less slippery. However, Uganda’s parks are open year-round, and wildlife experiences can still be enjoyable in the wet season (March-May and October-November), though trekking conditions can be more challenging.

Gorilla and Chimp Trekking Gear to Consider:

  1. Sturdy Hiking Boots: For trekking through muddy and rugged terrain.
  2. Long-Sleeved Shirt and Trousers: To protect against scratches from bushes and insects.

  4. Insect Repellent: To ward off mosquitoes and other insects.
  5. Binoculars and Camera: To capture the moment with wildlife.
  6. Gloves: To protect your hands when grabbing onto branches or trees.
  7. Water Bottle: Stay hydrated during your treks.

Jinja Tour Gear to Consider:

  1. Comfortable Clothing: Light and breathable fabrics for the heat and humidity of Jinja.
  2. Swimwear: For water activities like rafting or swimming in the Nile.
  3. Sun Protection: Sunglasses, sunscreen, and a wide-brimmed hat to protect from the sun.
  4. Waterproof Gear: For activities like rafting and boat trips.
  5. Camera/GoPro: Capture the excitement of the adventure sports and stunning Nile views.
